Privacy notice
This notice describes how personal data is processed as part of the call for applications « Institut Curie, JUNIOR GROUP LEADER (M/F) - Genetics and Developmental Biology - UMR3215/U934 », in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purpose
To receive, process and assess applications for this position, to collect letters of recommendation from the referees named by applicants, and to allow the selection panel to deliberate on comparable files.
Legal basis
The performance of a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR) and steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Data processed
- Applicants: family name, first name, email address, date the PhD was awarded, current professional position, up to 5 research keywords, the model systems or organisms used in their research, application file in PDF format, date and time of submission.
- Referees: title, name and email address (provided by the applicant), name and position (confirmed by the referee), letter of recommendation in PDF format, date and time of upload.
- Technical data: a non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address used to submit, kept solely to detect abuse, together with a log of the actions carried out on the platform.
No special category data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR is requested. Please do not include any in the documents you upload.
Source of referees' data
In accordance with Article 14 GDPR: a referee's title, name and email address are provided to us by the applicant, who undertakes to have informed them beforehand. Referees are informed of this processing in the first message they receive from us.
Recipients
Data is accessible only to members of the selection panel and to the staff authorised to administer the platform, all bound by confidentiality. Letters of recommendation are never disclosed to the applicant: they contain a third party's assessment, whose confidentiality is what makes candour possible. No data is passed to third parties for commercial purposes, nor transferred outside the European Union.
Hosting
Servers hosted by the institution, located in France. All exchanges are encrypted (HTTPS) and uploaded files are stored in a restricted-access area.
Retention period
Applications and letters are kept for 24 months from the date of submission, then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. You may exercise these rights with the Data Protection Officer (dpo@curie.fr). An applicant's right of access is subject to the rights of others: it does not entitle them to obtain the letters of recommendation written about them. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with your local supervisory authority.

This site sets two strictly necessary cookies: a security cookie protecting forms against cross-site request forgery and, for panel members only, a session cookie. No analytics or advertising cookies are used, so no consent banner is required.
